OSAKA CITY UNIVERSITY and SDGs

What are SDGs?

Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a set of common goals for an international society, adopted at a United Nations summit in September 2015. They consist of 17 goals and 169 targets, that aim to be achieved by 2030.

SDGs are universal goals applicable to both developed and developing countries.
In order to “leave no one behind”, it is important for governments, the industrial world, educational and research institutions and each citizen to cooperate one with another.
